This is a test scan of the underground passageways of the Antonine Baths in Carthage, one of the grandest Roman bath complexes of antiquity. The vaulted stone corridors once formed the hidden backbone of the baths, supporting the massive structures above while housing furnaces, water channels, and service areas essential to the daily operation of the site. While this model was created primarily as a test of large-area scanning, it demonstrates the potential of immersive 3D documentation to capture not only artifacts but also expansive architectural spaces. Even in its experimental form, the scan offers a glimpse into the scale and engineering ingenuity of Roman Carthage, allowing modern audiences to explore a space that once served thousands of bathers each day.
