This unique fragment from the Roman villas of Carthage preserves the upper torso of a sculpted bust richly decorated with relief figures and patterns. Unlike plain portrait busts, this piece includes carved scenes on the chest and shoulders, possibly representing mythological figures or symbolic motifs. Such decorated statuary was uncommon in private villas, suggesting this may have been part of a more elaborate display piece or linked to a particular cult or commemoration.
